Astronomical, Physical and Mathematical Geodesy (APMG) Group
The research of the working group Astronomical, Physical and Mathematical Geodesy (APMG) is focused on the following topics
satellite geodesy and the Earth’s gravity field (concerning current satellite missions such as GRACE and Swarm as well as simulation studies for future missions)
geodetic Earth system research (improving the understanding of processes in ocean, hydro- and atmosphere and solid Earth, by combining space observations such as satellite gravimetry or –accelerometry, radar altimetry or GNSS with numerical models)
geodetic methods (for example the development of efficient inversion or data integration algorithms)
To this end, we collaborate with several national and international partners and institutions.
