Zusammenfassung
Measuring temporal variations of the Earth’s gravity field provides unique knowledge on mass transport and re‐distribution at the Earth surface and inside the Earth. This includes temporal water storage variations in continents; global re‐distribution of water masses between the continents and oceans, and sea level rise; melting of ice at various locations, including mountain glaciers, as well as ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica. Yet, the spatial Resolution of the current GRACE Mission is beyond theoretical predictions. In this project, new and innovative techniques for the analysis of Level-1 satellite data will be explored.
